| 2005 r6... your thoughts? Looking at trading the 954 in on an 05 R6. I am thinking of going back to a 600 for insurance and I am finding I am not using the immense power as much anymore. Just looking for a good 600 that is comfortable fo a big dude. (6' 240). I find the 954 cramps my legs really bad, I have sat on an R6 and it feels really nice. has anyone else ridden one from the forum? The 600RR is an absolute torture machine for me so it is out of the question and I want something more modern than the F4I. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? If you really want an '05 R6, wait until the '06 R6 and R6S are out. Otherwise, you'll just be pissing money away, as their value is set to plummet. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? A guy as big as yourself, you're sure gonna miss all that torque. What's the price difference for insurance? |

They'll be twelve for ten cents soon. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? Insurance is about 40% less, from $972/year to $600/year. I was looking at an 05 as they are discounting them at a couple of dealers here.
Still haven't totally decided, my 954 is done up pretty nice and is pushing over 140 to the wheel so that part is hard to let go of. My wife has an 00 F4 and I would think the R6 would be considerably quicker. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? The 600 will lack torque which is important to big guys. The R6 will have less than your wife's F4i. But it does have a stompin' top end charge.
Check out bikes for my vote. |

| Im shocked at the price difference. Is that for the same coverage? Very surprised. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? The 1100XX and the 600RR are surprisingly close together for insurance costs here. |

| Re: 2005 r6... your thoughts? Coverages are identical if you can beleive it, through State Farm. They have the best rates for sportbikes in Ontario Canada.
I have always looked at the XX, but I did a track day this year and am starting to get the fix!! |
