R1 servo motor replacement electric thing

So I bought the latest issue of Cycle World to read about that Jamie James Edition R1. It comes equipped with a full Akro Evo exhaust. Instead of just disconnecting cables to the servo they use this little electronic box that similates the servo motor. Its made by http://www.samannasystems.com/ It would be nice if someone would make one of them for the 929/954. I emailed them and asked if they have any future plans for making them for bikes other than the R1. I'll keep you informed when I get their response.

well not that it seems anyone cares but I got a response back about the 929/954. here is it

"We did look into it at one time. Sam's Servo Sub, in it's configuration,
would not work. We tried a couple different versions, but it never panned
out."

I've looked into this a few times. You can make a jumper to work at a certain rpm range with out much problem. Say at above 8k you use a certain resistor and it fakes out the computer. You could even make a small box with a few resistors and relays to turn on when a certain volt comes from the computer but the darn thing would end up being the same size as the servo. What I ended up doing with mine was I took a dremal to it and cut it down so that at least I can get my hand inside the swingarm area now.

yeah if you go to their site (FAQ) it mentions using a jumper wire or resistor and also says the drawbacks to doing it that way.

But I guess honda's exhaust valve is a bit more complicated than Yamaha's.
