Rode an R1...midrange was ehhh

Hello All.. It's me Scruff. If any of you remember me I'm the guy that had the bum CHP run in with my new 929. Well cop never showed up so that went away..sold the blade..baby born healthy...got a promotion. So that about wraps up that last 10 months

So on to my R1 ride. A buddy of mine has an 06 that I took for a test ride last weekend. I have to say..it was not what I was expecting. I was expecting to feel an instant difference and to be quite honest below about 6k it didn't feel like it had much more than my old 929 did. Past 9k it was game over though. A little more comfy than I expected though. I did like the feel of the front end as well. Although in all honesty now I just want to find a dealership that will let me test ride a 1000RR as I've heard it has a little more pull down low..only 1 way to be sure well that's about all I have, it was a short ride and I don't push it on other peoples bikes. It did make me miss my blade horribly..

back...

The R1 is a bit behind the others in the power dept currently... usually dropping a tooth on the front will fix the problem you describe however

Indeed sheep..had a huge scare early in the pregnancy and we thought we may have to make a decision I hope no parent ever has to make. Thank God she was born healthy and big sister didn't have to deal with anything like that.
