HD | They use to run with the 250s in CCS LW GP in the early 90s (when they were only 10 years old). The platform is pretty long in the tooth and is getting harder to support with parts since they haven't been sold here since the mid to late 80s . . .
BTW, it took a 30K FZR400 to stay with the slowest TZ on the track . . . |

| Re: FZR 400 - OMG! I rode one once the first time I was stationed in Germany back in 99. It wasn't set up for track use though.
Extremely light, almost unstable under my weight. I couldn't turn my head without it changing direction although that's probably more because I'm not a very smooth rider. |

regardless of that comment that bike still rules. I think its fairly ugly but definetly looks likes like some fun (not to say TZs don't look like a blast). But I do think it has some nice tasteful/functional mods.
when are you picking it up HD?

| Re: FZR 400 - OMG! Fun Bike. A friend has one and I rode it at Pahrump. Notice its a 3TJ, there differant then the ones sold here. There frame is more like a TZ250 and a better swingarm, 17 inch wheels so you have a better tire selection. Not very fast on the straights but ou can keep in pinned in the turns. It just flicks right in. |
