Any feed back on this model?
Will this fit my 04? |

| Re: R6 Pitbull damper? Pitbull Online store has 03-04 and 05 separated. Pit Bull : Yamaha Stabilizers
I'd call Pitbull direct and see what the difference is. |

| Re: R6 Pitbull damper? It might be a good damper, but they haven't been on the market long enough to get a good base of feedback. Afterall, what does a motorcycle stand company know about dampers? (I ask that with a bit of jest...LOL) I'm sure the difference between the '04 and '05 damper is only going to be the bracketry, but you're probably looking at another $100 or so for the proper mounting kit.
Go back to your original damper thread, read it again, and then go buy an Ohlins damper. |

| Re: R6 Pitbull damper? I don't know where they get the rotary unit but may find some info as I have volunteered to let them use my RC to fit that model. That will not likely be soon enough to help you Frenchier6, sorry.

| Re: R6 Pitbull damper? Just now saw this topic, I am a bit slow....Anywho, I have one of these on my '99 R6, which is for the track, and I like it so far. I have not had any problems with it(knock on wood) and it is not too badly priced. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it was more than $150. I think I paid $275 for mine.
Don't know if this helps you out Frenchie, but I tried. |

PS: On September 24 at Putman, this guy had one of those on his 06 R6 (that was the guy that helped alot of us that day. He had a bike painted like a JOKER.. I can't remember his name). He told me that it's a good damper for the R6. So.... I may go with that one. Winter project |

| Re: R6 Pitbull damper? Frenchie,
Its Nick, if you get a pitbull you will not regret it, i have had one on my bike since i bought it, the thing is flawless. No other damper really compairs, the GPR is just not stable enough and under hard accell sometimes you can visually see the bracket move, you have an 04 so you have to bolts holding the tank down so that wouldn't be a problem.
Don't even get me started on the scott's that thing is a joke, lots of people have problems with them losing up, they vibrate a lot. And worst of all the valving is at the top of the damper, meaning there is a chance to get a bubble of air into that valve and make it feal like there is no damping. Not a good fealing mid corner. Also it is way way overpriced.
My 2 cents anyways.
I sent you a pm also.
