booth23 : Quote (TAZ @ Oct. 16 2003, 3:48pm)booth, you want to put up your own $20, or are you going to merely continue to waste time and space (and practice typing 'blah' and 'R1')?
| Waste time and space, sh1t Taz, that is your middle name. *Your speculations and cosmetic mods, this vs. that, yadda, blah, blah. *You would infuriate Richard Dawson himself. http://misterb.speedyard.net/images/surveysays2.jpg
I'll take that as a 'No Taz, I can't handle that heavy $20 action!'
And damn! Lighten up, would ya? You and bda could suck the fun out of a free trackday!
Have you never speculated? I'll fill you in: speculation is fun! Try it!
As for cosmetic mods, would you prefer it if everyone left their bikes bone-stock? Is YOUR bike bone-stock? Personally, I think it's cool and fun to make your bike your own; make it stand apart from the dozens of other ones in your town.
And you forgot to say 'blah' and 'R1' in your post. You're slackin'! |

| Ha! Loser!
I asked two questions. Answering them would just make you look dumb...you did the right thing. |

| Re: 2004 R1 Yo Cabbage patch . . . *Want to bring that nasty SV on up to Michigan and race for a 100.00 bill? *I'll spot you 100 yards on the start and run 5 laps. *First bike across the finish takes the 100.00 bucks. (BTW, I see you haven't addressed Track Ho's challenge, so I guess the numbers were a bit too beg eh?). |

Please GAZ. Cosmetic mods? NO, I upgrade the bike w/parts that actually do something, performance and handling are the objectives. Painting something isn't going to make it any faster or handle better, just poser points. And that is great if that is what you are into, just don't post 20 threads about it.
Speculation, sure, but you get the ass clown award because that is all you do. Next you'll be speculating power on the 2006 CBR and comparing it to the current one, and some other ass clown |

| Yeah it does! I added a K&N filter to my bike and the butt dyno instantly detected 5hp. Then I put the sticker on the lower fairing and gained another 10. Booth, please, check your facts before you make such statements |

| Re: 2004 R1 As far as the horsepower issue, I'll just put down these figures - claimed and range of power I have seen from mags who have dynoed them... (2000 models)
ZX9r Claimed 140hp * rwhp 129 - 135
R1 claimed 150hp *rwhp 130 - 137
CBR929 claimed 152hp *rwhp 119 - 128
Whos claims would you take as being closest to reality?
Bear in mind, I chose a 929 coz I liked the handling and brakes, and preferred these over power.
All bikes are always in the race up until they have been ridden, in my mind.
