| Re: 2004 R1 That's a conservative number. Rear wheel horsepower will be closer to 200 without the ram air assist.
Oh, and it will weigh in at around 300 lbs. wet. The bike will be the bestest, fastest on the planet.
All that and it looks like ass, too. |

| Re: 2004 R1 Sorry, guys. I should have searched it out before posting. My brother-in -law and I have been going back and forth all day about this. He is new to bikes and you all know how it goes from there.
I don't stay as up to date on the board as I used to. Checking in only a few times a day doesn't seem to cut it as fast as this thing can move. Thanks for the thoughts and usual humor. Lol. |

| Re: 2004 R1 Like i've said before, if the new r1 has 180hp I'll suck a goat's dick on the 50 yard line of a college football game. Everyone lies about their new bikes and honda seems to be the worst of all. i remember when the 929 came out it was supposed to be like 155 rwhp and it ended up being like 130. I'll stay on my slow ass 996 with 114 hp and whip all them giggleheads on the new r1's, #### i'll whip all their asses on my sv. |

When the 929 came out it was 150hP and that is what it is (at the crank) today. |

| sure thing bro. all the companies lie their ass off about hp, then when their hunk of crap comes off the line with 20 less hp they claim it's crank hp. My ducati makes 210 hp, at the crank. But 114 at the rear wheel, really it's got more hp than the blade.... |
