the 08's are out already !!!!!

the stealership i was at today had an 08 R1 sitting for sale....very nice with adjustable levers,2 bro's pipes, and some aftermarket mods for $11,990 msrp ! Not a bad price considering it's an 08, and they had an 07 there for the same price, which was kind of dumb i thought...i may shoot down to the Honda dealer tomorrow to see if they have an 08 1000rr for sale yet as yamaha does.Being Florida, we will most likely get the new bikes here before most other parts of the U.S. .....

They won't. It's a little early for Honda.

March is going to be when all the US dealers get any of the 08's.. Unless your looking for a dirtbike.. and maybe some cruisers..

Maholli, i sat on the 08 yamaha ...it's at the dealership now.There was only 1 however, fly by wire throttle = nice

I thought you where talking about the honda's (08 1KRR).. Isn't that all that matters?

Im not sure about the other bikes.. Yeah the fly by wire came out on the R1 last year.. Im pretty sure its on the 08 R6 also..

If Yamaha has them on the showroom floors already it must give them a big edge on the rest of the manufacturers, think of the sales people trying to compete with 07 products against 08...

The '08 R1 is identical to the '07 R1, which is why they can be out already.
Yamaha will essentially be competing against '08 bikes with '07 bikes all next year with regards to the R1.

From what i have seen on previous yamahas, they are too problematic. they had that really big problem with the big time lag in second gear during rollons. They are really hell to work on too.
