Fair Price Or Not???

I recently took my '99 R1 in for carb and other service and would like any feedback as to whether or not you think I was charged fairly. Service included:
Evaluate carbs (Keihin flat slide),clean, replace pilot jets w/ correct size
Replace spark plug
flush hydrolic brake lines(front & rear)
Oil change w/ Motul synthetic, new filter
bolt master cylinder to after market triple clamp
install new battery
test on dyno
Total $579

note: work was done by a current AMA superbike rider. For the most part I should at least have peace of mind that the work is quality. Your feedback is appreciated.

Sounds kinda steep, but then again atleast 5 of the things that you had done, i would have done them myself. Only things that the shop would have done was carbs and dyno time (probably wouldnt have done that though).

Ditto, I do it all myself so it seems like a huge number to me but if that's the going rate there isn't much you can do about it.

Re: Fair Price Or Not???

thats kinda steep, cause i just had mine service '06 cbr 1000rr, spark plugs, all fluids flushed and changed, valves adjusted, tires checked and balanced, oil change wit premium honda synthetic oil and new filter, chain cleaned and lubed and greased all points for $410 plus taxes. but it pays to do your own work. I do my own except changing plugs and adjusting valves. And i'm going to learn how to do that. Thats the first time i put my bike in the shop besides when i had it custom mapped.
