| Re: R1 rider dies while learning to ride Mistake 1: Wearing no protective gear (especially a helmet).
Mistake 2: Can't learn very well in the dark at night.
Btw, did he collect on her life insurance policy? |

| Re: R1 rider dies while learning to ride That's horrible......I can't even imagine how her husband feels. She should of had a helmet on, especially since she was learning. |

| Re: R1 rider dies while learning to ride Anyone else get the vision of that guy on the red SV650 hitting the tree, except trading it for an R1 and a wall in the dark?
So many idiots. I once considered teaching a female friend of mine to ride my old CBR600 in a car park. But it would have been a)day time
b) with full gear

| Re: R1 rider dies while learning to ride I feel sorry for the husband, although why would you teach someone to ride on one of the most powerful bikes you can buy?
I'm so glad we have size restrictions when learning to ride. |

I stole the picture off of another board. I think its supposed to be a lime. Kind of reminds me of the other cat avatars I had.
Bacchus- I'm glad you finally made the perfect sauce! |

| Why, that costs $$ in some states. Besides, what does the MSF know that some guy with an R1 dosen't? Hmm, how to teach someone on a 12-15hp. bike, in an obstacle free environment with people that actually KNOW how to teach? Naa that can't be it. The husband should be charged with 'Operating a driver training facility without a license'.

| Re: R1 rider dies while learning to ride Ummm . . . that's the point. His wife would be alive if she had been learning on an underpowered bike. Instead she went flying through a fence, into a building, on an R1. MSF is $50 well spent. |
