| 900cc Yamaha R1??? I could neither refute nor confirm a girls claim I just heard that she had a special ordered 900cc Yamaha R1. She, for all intents and purposes seemed like a dumb-arse but I figured I would consult the database known as Fireblades.org because I had never heard of such a thing. Anyone know either way? She didn't seem real excited about talking motorcycles after I told her I raced and had 3 bikes in the garage. Perhaps motorcycles were just a fleeting moment for her. Special order a bike, wreck it, then forget about the whole thing? I think she said it was a year 2000.
Maybe I should have turned it into a poll with the options:
Crack head
Non crack head

| Re: 900cc Yamaha R1??? 'Nother vote for crackhead! I used to be friends with girl that claimed she had an F4i, but everytime I came over her house she had a different excuse for it not being there. "Oh, it's in the shop getting something done." "Oh, my friends took it to Florida for me because I have no way of getting it to bikeweek by myself." etc |

| Re: 900cc Yamaha R1??? That's what I figured but who am I to call bullsh!t directly to the face of a girl I have just met? "Hi, how are you doing. I'm Wet Shrub and I think you are a liar." Oh well, some people will do anything to get attention. She definitely seemed like the type. |

| Re: 900cc Yamaha R1??? Okay...when I say freak, I mean in all senses of the word.
She was an Italian from Brooklyn so out here here nickname automatically becomes Brooklyn. She had red streaks in her hair, tons of tattoos, piercings, she was probably 6 feet tall and 110 lbs with a hump on her back the size of those aerodynamic humps on some leather suits. She had a knee brace on from her apparent crash on the 900cc R1. She was loud, obnoxious, and told bad jokes that everyone has heard before.

-Shrub | So why were you engaged in a conversation with her if she was that bad? |

Oh wait, were you the lucky dude who came home to find his wife and her best friend in a hot tub together, just chillin'?
If not, ignore me. My memory isn't what it once was.

| Re: 900cc Yamaha R1??? No. she is absolutly right, and shes probably in a very special postion to get that bike. Remember the R7, well its going to be a bike of that nature...and yes, it's going to be called the R9. Now the R9 is not going to be your standard I-4 or V motor, its going to be something much different. It will have a V5 style power plant (much like the Honda we hoped for this year) and a new Deltabox frame that is suppose to made up of mostly titainmuim (spelling). This bike will only be offered with a single seat, and get this...It will come with a push button electronic/air shifter! (SILLY KEWL!) it will have a fully adjustable suspension, and a on board damper. Everything was in race plastic, so I am not too sure about lights and other things like that. I will keep you posted on new features or news I get.
I heard this is for exclusives and race testing only though....weird

She said it was a 2000 though and she wrecked it a year ago or more. |
