The Ford Mustang has always been a stubborn survivor over the years. A thorough entertainer, the 2009 Ford Mustang is better than ever before. It is certainly very affordable at an MSRP of about $27,210 to $32,035. Nice styling and impressive performance make this car a good choice for regular use, though the Mustang definitely guzzles up too much fuel for comfort. The Ford Mustang has been the trend setter in the pony car segment since ages, and the latest version definitely lives up to most expectations. Classic retro looks are combined with modern lively performance in the 2009 Ford Mustang.

Senior Vice President of Design, J Mays says that the fifth generation throwback styling is “retro-futurism”. 2005 onwards, the ford Mustang has been spruced up very well for today’s driving enthusiasts. Coupe or convertible in base or GT trim, this affordable car packs a punch when required. Available trims for 2009 are listed as V6 Deluxe & V6 Premium, and GT Deluxe & GT Premium. The muscular looks match the performer V8 engine of the GT trim. The V6 base trim is quite a negligible candidate now, but watch out for the 300 hp V8 engine GT that rules the roads. Mustang has always been a traditional American heart-throb especially with its muscular appeal, and it is assumed that the 2009 Mustang will enjoy the same success.

But we have to point out the average interiors, compared to the other amazing features in this gorgeous pony. Though the interior cabin comes with standard features and controls, the styling could have been better. While on the road, the car is lively but handling is just about okay. Standard features include air-conditioning, cruise control, full power accessories and more in the V6 Deluxe, while the V6 Premium adds Shaker 500 stereo and power driver seat. The V8 GT Deluxe has same basic features as the V6 Deluxe, but adds sports seats, fog lamps and rear seat spoiler. Premium comes with leather upholstery and Shaker 500 sound system. The trims are roomy but lack elegant interiors .

All trims come with 5-speed manual transmission and are rear-wheel driven. The 4.6L V8 GT delivers 300 hp without ado. Acceleration, turning round corners and braking is good. Optional features include Pony package and other upgrade packages. Safety gets 5 on 5 in NHTSA Frontal Crash Test. Take home the 2009 Ford Mustang if you want a classic looking car that works great on the road.
