2009 Ford Focus Prices Review Specs & Photos

    November 5th, 2008 · No Comments · Ford

The Ford Focus is a petite sedan or coupe, packed with features that will give many competitors a run for their fuel. More than a decade into heavy sales, the Ford focus is still going strong. After a facelift, the Ford Focus has managed to reach the top 5 in the category of compact cars. Reviewers like the Automobile leave no room for doubt when they claim that the 2009 ford Focus is “So much better than it has to be.” A little tweaking here and there and the Ford focus is all set for success in 2009.

There are 6 different trims available for the 2009 Ford Focus. In sedan style, you have the S, SE, SES and SEL (new this year) trim levels while the coupe is available in SE and SES versions. In terms of looks, the Ford Focus has been revamped greatly, with a nice new front and rear. The unsightly fender vents have been removed now. There are a few new additions to the SES as well, for increase in performance. The compact Ford focus comes equipped with a tidy 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that gives a horsepower of 140 HP. This engine is mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission on all trims.

Though not too powerful, the car performs well with quick steering and is generally fun to drive. It coasts along smoothly even on bumpy roads and handling is par excellence. As claimed by USA today, “Great handling makes every drive a grin opportunity.” The highchair seating has been appreciated. And the car is roomy on the inside, though compact on the outside. Head room and leg room is more than sufficient for comfortable travel. The popular Sync system voice recognition hands free interface is available in the 2009 Ford Focus. Interior materials are not the most luxurious but quite okay, with leather upholstery, remote engine start and heated front seats.

The Focus is focused upon safety features, with standard 6 brakes on all trims. Options include stability control and antilock brakes. For frontal-offset crash protection, the Focus receives a top rating of “good” by The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This smart and safe little car could be yours at about $14,995 to $17,970.

Don’t expect too much with the 2009 Ford Focus, but don’t underestimate the car either. Tidy performance, refreshed exteriors, roomy interiors and the cool Sync interface is reason enough to opt for the 2009 Ford Focus.
