Marvic magnesium rear wheel 17 x 6" $425

This is off of a 2003 954, will fit 929 and RC51, maybe 1000rr? The wheel was hardly used, belonging to the AMA FX team Annandale Racing. Includes a rear Galfer wave rotor and 46t 520 sprocket. It has only a couple of very small scratches, only from the tire machine.

email me at [email protected] . Also have full M4 stainless exhaust with ti muffler for $450.

Can you tell us what it weighs?
Preferably without the disc and sprocket on it though so we can compare it to stock.

Re: Marvic magnesium rear wheel 17 x 6" $425

Marvics not only weigh less than stock (see Yoyodyne), but they also carry their weight more to the center of the wheel. That gives it less of a gyroscopic effect, making the bike easier to turn.

The wheel is at my friend's house, so not very easy to weigh. If you know Marvics or Marchesinis, you'll know how good this wheel is.

Re: Marvic magnesium rear wheel 17 x 6" $425

I know why lighter wheels work better but I have found three alleged magnesium wheels already that turned out to be considerably heavier than stock wheels (one was a Marvic). Now I always ask for weights :-)
Yoyodyne don't list weights either unfortunately.

Thanks for that - 2.5kg is a huge saving.
