Swing arm spools options

hi guys. looking to use spools for raising the rear of the bike, but the 929 doesnt really have a place for them to go. Has any one used these before?

http://www.amazon.com/CBR929-CBR954-Shogun-Spools-Carbon/dp/B002TMUH50
how do they work ? are they reliable etc?

Thank you !

Re: Swing arm spools options

Those look like they will get pretty chewed up if you use them for lifting. If you can, just get some three inch long metric bolts for lifting and use the Shoguns for slide/tip over protection.

Re: Swing arm spools options

i have similar ones but not those exact ones. they work fine for me.

these are what ive got. 8mm is what you need. ive been using them with my stand a while n they arent chewed up. of course im pretty gentle when i put it on the stand though.

Re: Swing arm spools options

well i was looking at pics online of the 929 swingarm n i guess it doesnt have a spot like my 954 to bolt them on. you can buy swingarm spool bung kits and weld them on though. i guess that would be the only solution.

Re: Swing arm spools options

yeah its a simply job to weld on the carrier for the spools. you should be able to find a simple kit on ebay or just do a search for one. should be cheap to get welded and cheap to buy the bungs to weld on. good luck n if you do go that route it would be cool if you throw a couple pictures up of the mod on here. might help someone else down the line with the same questions!
