Fuel pressure regulator for 954RR

Hey guys, was having some issues with my 954RR being sluggish (2003 Honda CBR 954RR 8k miles) So I replaced the plugs, changed oil, new air filter, fuel system clean etc... Fuel pump was also replaced late last season.

Read online that these bikes often have FPR Issues. So after I did all of the listed above I took the vacuum hose off my FPR and sure enough when the fuel pump primed the bike, Gas came pouring out of where the vaccum hose normally attaches to the FPR.

So I'm guessing that means the diaphragm/ FPR is totally shot correct? I can post a video if need be. If this is the case:

Where is the best (cheapest/fastest) place to order a replacement?

Does anyone know the honda part number for the FPR? I've found 16740-MCJ-013

Are there other FPR's that are swap in replacements for this one?

I have searched a bit but all the information I've found is very ambiguous.

Thank you for your time and any help.

I think someone on here with a 954 replaced his with one from a VTX. He said the vacuum nipple was rotated to where the 954 one is, but worked nonetheless. A search should produce it here. I guess the VTX one was cheaper at the time he replaced it. Worth a look I guess.

thats what i was gonna suggest, but i couldnt remember what model bike the fpr came from that he swapped in. i was thinking it was a 1100xx.

i think id avoid all the hassle of the ebay universal fpr personally. seems like the 954's oem fpr use to be more expensive, like over 100$. i could be wrong, but for 70$, i think id just buy the oem unit meant for the 954 n call it a day.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator for 954RR

iirc 929 and 945 are the same part 16740-MCJ-013 but doesn't seem to cross reference to any other models - the 929 had another which was discontinued, end 003, presumably due to failure(?). CBR6's seem to have a different one.
