Wanted: Fork tube for a 93 900RR

I am looking for a fork tube for my bike. The PO really did a number on the
forks when he changed the seals. It looks like he used a screwdriver to get the seals out.
The guy who did my forks gave it a 50/50 chance that they will not leak. It lasted almost two years. So if anybody has a fork tube laying around that would fit my bike and you
want to get rid of it let me know. Thanks

P.S. Partzilla says that the only one's that will fit are from a 93-94.

Hi , you can include the 92 into that list
Edit; are you still carrying the 16" front wheel or did you do the swap to 17"

Had a look on E-bay here, seems they only want to sell front ends, hopefully someone has got one lying round, calling @IanDoohan

Re: Wanted: Fork tube for a 93 900RR

I have been looking on ebay also. I have seen a few, but they say "slightly bent", or
they are crazy priced. I'm going to ride it out for the rest of this year the way she is
and hopefully I will find a replacement by spring.

You could be really picky and wait it out while you look for a complete set of 95-97 forks. That will give you compression damping as well. I have a complete set of 96 forks on my 93. For under $200 if you could find a set that would be a great upgrade, and may not need seals, just fresh oil. I got lucky on a pair on eBay for under that price. Probably cost you just as much to swap in 1 new tube

I would ride the RC until you find what I’m talking about

A set like this would be perfect, and a great deal, but they’re NOT from a 1995. No compression adjuster under the caliper holder. Even so, probably a good deal.

Hey Ian, just so that the everybody knows, would that be a straight swap if I use
95-97 forks? If not what would I have to do to fit said forks? Thanks

Yes. Even with the 93-94 speedo drive. The 95-97 forks added the compression damping on the bottom, but still used the same cast mold for the lowers, so the left one still has the small “notch thing” to stop the gear drive from spinning.

Straight up buy and replace, no mods.
