Youngster and bikes

So we all started our love of 2 wheels at some point. Who can remember their earliest interest in motorbikes. Here's a little pic of my daughter age 5 and my bad self enjoying my new toy.

Re: Youngster and bikes

As I get older , I still cant help but smile when I see a young one enjoying themselves, My interest was always in things mechanical, not for how they looked but how they worked, not a lover of cars , but have had a car licence since 18 in the army ,going on nearly 50 years now, dont really care much for the newer bikes either anything newer than a 954.Been tinkering away for 5 hours this morning on a Honda cbx750 , time flew

Re: Youngster and bikes

I started my interest in high school. Never got one until in college. But in 2009 I got both my boys (then very young lol) on my '73 CB350F for a pic. Good looking helmets, eh?

There's a thread on here somewhere from that build/restoration

Re: Youngster and bikes

I was always into bicycles since I learned how to ride at around eight years old. Towards senior years of high school, my interest peaked with adding an engine to my two wheel love affair. The interest faded after a friend (Ohla), who just purchased a motorcycle, died in an accident. After college my interest peaked again, so much, that I just went out and purchased one. I kept it at my friend's house because I knew my parent would not allow me to have a motorcycle. I slowly introduced it to them by giving them hints that I may be riding until I finally brought the bike home.
