Looking at 2008 coming from FZ-09 Advice

I'm looking at a 2008 CBR1000r with 8k miles for $5000. Anything I should be looking for on used 2008? I'm coming from a fz-09, anyone else come from the fz... good or bad switch?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Looking at 2008 coming from FZ-09 Advice

Check with previous owner or dealer about oil usage. 2008s were plagued with oil burning probs!

Also, check these on another Honda forum (with respect to FireBlades.org admin):

This is not to say that all 2008s are similarly afflicted; just be cautious. Price is good for that mileage especially if all else is in good condition.
