Tire Issue

I have just found a pretty deep cut in my tire, it goes down past the wear bar by about 1-2 mm's. The cut is about 2" long.
This really sucks cuz I am super poor this summer and the tire in almost new!

No air leaks, so I was thinking about using "superglue" to rebound the rubber together. Does anyone think this will help?

I am not to worried about it as far as "high speed" goes because I don't do much of anything but city riding.

The reason I am even concerned at all is I dont want the rubber to split more, not so much that it will rupture. And you cannot see threads.

Any advice for a poor guy? (Pun intended)

Re: Tire Issue

Ride it an stop worrying, it is just a cut and does not go to the carcass.. No problem. Super glue will hold about two revolutions.

Don't worry about that little scratch it will be fine my tires have similiar cuts on them and eventually it will wear away , as long as the chord is not showing , and even if it is that what the rubber is for to take the abuse of the road and keep the core of the tire intact. for some reason I look at 16 tires daily and evaluate cuts and punctures and make sure they are good to go or need changing , so let me reaffirm , you will be fine.
