It's kinda a bizarre deal. It has 600 mi, and has a salvaged title. It probably needs new wheels, but is otherwise great.

When it was repaired, the owner added CF fairings, a Brembo billet radial MC (with the 6 piston Nissin calipers, the brakes are amazing!), and replaced the other messed up pieces (mirror and rear brake lever). He didn't replace the wheel as he didn't care, but it has a small piece missing...and I don't want it to crack. He also got the 600 mi service done at a reputable Bay Area dealer.

He also ditched the stock tires and it has a real fresh set of Dunlop 208s on it.

I got it for half price of new.

Sounds like a hell of a rare find. Good one.

It desperately needs a bath, and a bit of detailing (the owner had 4 or 5 ducs in the garage and a new G1K), but you expect that for the price. I got super lucky on this one. Other people were trying to buy it out from under me...Tues was a nailbiter.

No racing. We're moving to a smaller house and there are various other things going on. After all the bullshit I've been through lately, I'm just not into it.

If I change my mind, I wouldn't have a hard time making money on this bike if I sold it.

I really did start looking for Tamburinis used, but they were all going for the same price as new. As I looked I stumbled across the SPR on craigslist. There was even another guy who posted an ad making fun of the MV owner and kinda hinting it was a scam.

The owner said he'd only reply to e-mail with a phone number (which made it sound even more scammy). I replied without it but said I was serious...ended up talking to him that night for quite a while. He was very honest, and said he didn't like the extra weight over a Jap-bike on the track. He sold the SPR and is selling one Duc...buying a house.

He also sent me like 20 pics. We worked on price and locked the deal Mon night.

Very sweet looking bike! I wish...
