The last line says it all:
Sweat wipes off, road rash doesn't, wear your gear!

Must obey the sheep dog

Re: A lesson in road rash

"Nothing could have changed what happened or even warned me about the problem with my helmet."

thinking not going 120+ on the highway could have prevented it.... not to mention being the passenger sitting higher up than the rider if you sit up you get all the wind right in your face, and at that speed it means trouble.. Like she said, least her pretty face survived cause the rest of her will not be much to look at anymore..

She's still a pretty girl, and obviously pretty young. Clearly neither the passenger nor the driver are the brightest of individuals. Assuming she takes care of herself much of it should clear up and blend in pretty well.

Re: A lesson in road rash

Okay, she may be dumb...

.... but the rider who took her on the back, without a safety briefing, without loaning her gear of some kind, deciding to ride out to butt fluck Egypt, and ride at triple digit speeds should be dragged behind my bike for an equal distance and duration with no gear on.

I don't mind idiots screwing themselves up, but to inflict that on another?

Her own fault. And no, she's not that pretty to be honest. Even with $15.00 worth of Wal-Mart makeup on she's not worth a second look.

Re: A lesson in road rash

The guys on that site are ruthless. I have no idea why that accident happened. That really isn't the point any more. The real point should be this girl's health.
She will be fine in a few years, but she will be mentally scarred for life.

I can't say that I always ride with full leather armor on, but I can also say that I know the risks involved. For those of you not willing to take the risk, please wear some type of protective gear.

Re: A lesson in road rash

I can't see a flipped up visor ripping her off a bike. Too bad either way, hope she and the driver learned a lesson.
