Re: 06 cbr 1000 F1 code???

If you take the can off and put the OEM one on, does the FI Light go off?

Could it be because the bike isnt set up to the after market can??? How many times does the FI light flash e.g. 3 blinks, 2 long ones etc

Re: 06 cbr 1000 F1 code???

When you installed the aftermarket can, what did you do with the exhaust gas control valve cables? It is OK to remove the cables from the pulley at the engine behind the left mid fairing. However, if you remove the pulley at the engine, the ECU will trip a fault code. Not sure what the code is though.

Taking the cables off will not effect the code. Removing the pulley at the engine will cause a code. Your code must be something different. Can you describe the code that is flashing? Number of blinks and longs.

Re: 06 cbr 1000 F1 code???

This code indicates a problem with the EGCV servomotor. The first thing the manual suggests is to check the 6P connector at the servomotor to make sure it is seated properly. 3 long and 5 blinks indicates that the servomotor is locked. This suggests that the cables you left hanging at the EGCV may be getting hung on something. Check this as well.
