How about a Common Motorcycling Chat forum instead?

... of this Honda-only one?

I'm serious guys (Conq) ... I really enjoy this board and, frankly, think it's as good as it gets anyplace on the internet. But with the recent changes and expansion of the forum software (and all the posting/folder choices we now have), why not spread our wings even further and ...

Ah to heck with it. I know I'm about to be flamed a good one for even having broached this subject ...

Frankly Chain, I think you're fortunate Conq didn't boot your ass outta here
when you turned traitor to the cause, but perhaps that's because prececents
had been set by Conq and his XX, and all the RC owners festering this
Fireblades board.
But now I think you may really testing Conq's patience. You're effectively inviting
hooligan Suzuki riders to the party. Can't be having that, now can we?
Perhaps you'll cease and desist while the gettin' is good.

I'm genuinely sorry you feel that way, Ragged. I like to think that the bond we motorcyclists enjoy transcends the marque of the particular piece of hardware currently residing in our respective garages.

Hey Hemingway, I think RaggedEdge's post was perhaps tongue-in-cheek? Although it is sorta difficult to tell .

I think Ragged could have been putting me on as well, but I was careful with my response. Not defensive, but repectful disagreement.

You can use this area for that.... I don't want this site to turn into a CycleForums.com though. It's still FireBlades.org (or HondaRiders.org).

Okay, I'll 'fess up. I was just jerkin' your chain, Chain.

I don't have anything against anyone who chooses to
ride a motorcycle. More power to 'em, whatever brand
and model they select. That said, I'm not real fond of
stunters if they take it to the streets, though I respect
the skill it requires to stunt well (and safely).

Peace.

Re: How about a Common Motorcycling Chat forum instead?

I have no hard set "brand loyalty", but this board is unique to the bike I ride, so I've learned a lot from it. I've gone to other motorcycle boards that aren't brand-specific, and there isn't much there to learn, at least not compared to here, even going to the Honda section of said boards. There seems to just be a lot of crap on them. Personally, I like that it's a fireblade only board, so I can get specific info. There are a lot of motorcycle non-brand specific discussions already, I see no reason to formally make it non-brand specific. Just my opinion. There's plenty of other boards that aren't Honda only. Not that I want you, Chain, or any of the other previous fireblade-owning folks to go elsewhere. I don't. You guys have been around for a long time and make valuable contributions. I just really like this site for what it already is.

Ragged, I hoped so, but wasn't sure. Anyway, thanks for the note.

I hear ya HGT, makes perfect sense.
