Favorite riding noise...

I'm building an MP3 library for next summer...what do you listen to when you ride? Bands/particular songs? TIA

Or in Bacchus' case...thinking/talking about riding

Re: Favorite riding noise...

i usually listen to the scream of my arata at 10,000 rpms or so

on a side note about listening to music while riding, wait till they come out with 'hypersonic sound' in a portable transmitter. You can listen to music without conventional speakers, the transmitter beams the music from a transmitter and when it hits your skull, it sounds likes the music is in your head.. thats how its described anyways.

Re: Favorite riding noise...

I don't listen to recorded music when I ride - I don't want the distraction. I like the the whine of the gear driven cams of the VFR and the turbine howl of the brakes on the 954.. Of course, there's the aircraft landing 'squeech' of the front tire coming back to earth after a fourth gear wheelie, but I've never heard that coming from a bike I'm riding ....

No music for me thanks...too distracting. I'd rather concentrate on my riding.

Bikes and women - both have nice curves.

'Fraid I'd miss all that as I wear earplugs when I ride...I like music and think the right music might "enhance" my riding experience. Ummm, Bacchus... just for gp and by the way friend, you are seriously

Re: Favorite riding noise...

Something with a good beat because you really cant hear or concentrate on the lyrics. My mp3 players tends to have either dance/trance/techno or kick ass metal/rock. Watch out though, way to easy look down and see 100mph as your rocking out to Pantera or something

Could you be more specific as to bands/songs...I'll kazaa them and determine what fits me...I generally prefer upbeat/banging noise while riding...thanks G.

Re: Favorite riding noise...

First thing I loaded into my iRiver was Monster Magnet (fav songs- Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Space Lord).

I like that one song in that valentino rossi video. Don't know the song or artist though. It goes something like 'where did my rock n roll go?' Or was it the GP season wrap-up video?

I'm a lost cause. If anyone does know what I'm talking about, what is the name of that song?

they can't get away from us this time."

Off the top of my head techno/trance/dance: Chemical brother, Crystal method, Robert Miles, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Paul von Dyk, Daft Punk, Benny Benassi.

Rock/metal: Pantera, Filter, The Offspring, Helmet, Static X, System of a Down, Corrosion of conformity, Sepultura, and a bunch I can't think of now. Perhaps others can chime in?
