Help Adjusting Suspension and Sag Setting?

I've never adjusted the suspension on my bikes (always left em stock). However, I'm about 140lbs; thus I think the suspension is a little too stiff for a rider of my weight. I hear the difference in handling can be tremendous. Could someone either explain to me or show me a good thread, video, or article on how to successfully adjust my suspension and also how to figure out what the best rider sag should be. I get that 1 turn on the sockets in the triple tree translates to 1mm plus or minus fork sag. But the rear is a little confusing. and also where to go about measuring the sag (locations on the bike). I'm not sure if a GSXR is different than a CBR also, but thanks in advance mates!

Re: Help Adjusting Suspension and Sag Setting?

alrighty, i understand how to adjust the front and rear suspension now. i guess mostly what i want to know is what are some advised settings for sag. a video i saw stated something about 1 1/4 inches of sag on the rear is good, opinions on that? just some front and rear sag numbers would be nice, thank you. (bike is mostly used for street, but occasional track)

Re: Help Adjusting Suspension and Sag Setting?

when there is no weight on the bike the fork has a 4.5 inch gap. then when i sat on it the measurement was originally 3.5. Now i softened the springs (it actually was as far soft [counterclockwise] as the bolt would turn) and i'm getting a distance of 3.25" when i'm on the bike, and still 4.5 when there's no weight on the forks. this is 1 1/4 inches of rider sag am i correct? when is a little over 30mm? did i do my math and measurements correct?
