ecu ecm cdi box some people say

I was wondering how you can test the ecu without just going and buying a new one. I looked and tried to find videos or read up about it and I really haven't found anything useful. Does the ecu send power to the coil when bike is turned on? Appreciate the help I don't want to go just spend $215 us dollars on a guess

Re: ecu ecm cdi box some people say

I don't know any way to actually test an ECU except to compare it to a known good one that's been swapped into the bike. I have had this issue myself in the past with other engines and vehicles.
Are you following the procedures in the manual? I only ask because they exhaust every other possible test before suggesting to swap in a new ECU.
