93 cbr600 f2 pouring fuel out of overflow

I have bought this bike and cleaned the carbs multiple times to get it running great, also changed float needles 3 days ago. I road it around the neighborhood and it did great, but yesterday i went on a longer ride and after stopping it decided to flood and not start. i installed a small 3 psi max fuel pump on the bike and it wasn't an issue before. could it just be a stuck float or other problem?

Re: 93 cbr600 f2 pouring fuel out of overflow

You should not have a fuel pump on an F2. They weren't added until the F3 because of the addition of the Ram Air.

Generally, the only reason a carb body overflows is because the float valve doesn't seat properly to stop the bowl from over filling.

In your case, the fuel pump could be overpowering the set up. Remove it and se if there's any difference.

Re: 93 cbr600 f2 pouring fuel out of overflow

Thanks, There was actually some gunk blocking the float needle from closing all the way. Now it runs great. The fuel pump i put on isnt powerful enough to over power it. Thanks again for your response.
