Ok so we have the new 2015 R1, the new S1000RR 2015, the new ZX10R 2016, H2R, the new CBR 1000, the Duke 1299, the new 2017 R6, the new RSV4, 2017 GSXR1000. All of these dream bikes giving me wet dreams and your dream bike is a mut? Even you confirmed yourself that your CBR1000 ran circles around your F2 lap time and that's what you want to be your dream bike. My dream bike is the 2016 R1 in matte grey, with full Ohlin's suspension, Graves full TI exhaust, Graves rearsets, Flashed ECU, Driven grips, Scotts damper, OZ gas rims, Spiegler brake lines, Brembo MC and clutch perch, Brembo mono block calipers, EBC extreme pro pads, ram air modification, dyno time, some carbon fiber bits, keyless gas cap, techspec snake skin, smoke puig or zero gravity screen and my life would be complete... I've thought about parting out my current R1 to make this dream a reality but dam it I love that bike...
I could understand if you stated a stock mint condition F2, now that's sexy. It make sense for people who just wants a classic. But what the hell is the point to spend all that money when you can have a better bike around the same price range.
OP, the F3 is a great bike though. If you go into my build thread, you'll see the love affair I had with that bike. Overall I spent around $5000 to make the bike fast on the track by addressing the functional distractions it had. There are some great mods you can make while still keeping the price down. 900rr MC mod, SS brake lines, good pads (I really like ebc extreme pro's), rearsets, definitely the fox shock, Racetech springs, R6 throttle tube, sticky tires like the Q3's. The mods I listed were the most beneficial to me while I tracked it. And if when you want more power, you can go into the air box by adding a better air filter, full race headers, and proper jetting... I had my dream bike until it broke my collar bone... Hold up... OK I see where Frank is coming from
