Replaced starter relay now no light will come on

Lights came on before but after I replaced the starter relay, nothing happens when I turn the key to the on position. It's a 1991 600 F2

Re: Replaced starter relay now no light will come on

Seems strange, since you put a new one on, have you tried bridging the starter relay to see if its getting power

Re: Replaced starter relay now no light will come on

Yes the starter turns over when I bridge it, maybe it's a bad connection in the wires that plug up to the relay?

Good morning, yes as its a new unit take a look at your connections to it , the bridging shows up a bad relay, and we know that's not right
Could you physically check the starter relay fuse

Re: Replaced starter relay now no light will come on

If no power to the dash, the 30 amp fuse is bad. The solenoid only completes the circuit to power the starter. There is a red wire in the connector that plugs into the top of the solenoid that sends the power from the battery through the fuse, to the fuse panel at the front of the bike. Replace the fuse with a known good one, and re test. Make sure that connection is good.
