CCT rattle only at high RPM's?

Hey i just bought an 02 F4i and i notice that about five minutes after it warms up it starts to make an almost bubbling sound i guess you could call it a rattle at first thought it was the radiator but it doesn't over heat or anything. Just woundering if the CCT could rattle at idle? Also sound almost disapears when clutch is engaged.

Re: CCT rattle only at high RPM's?

So it's normal to hear this sound? or it's normal for the CCT to make a noise at idle? Also would you hear the clutch basket rattle up near the top of the motor or at the side. Lastly is the bike ok to ride or should i park it untill futher notice?

Re: CCT rattle only at high RPM's?

Does the sound come from the exhaust or the engine? An exhaust leak can make noise at the head-to-header area... when the engine is cold start it up and listen/feel for any exhaust being blown out in that area.

High RPM rattle that sounds like a loose spring Would probably be a CCT. The worse the CCT becomes it will gradually make that noise in almost the entire rpm range.
