New to forums, Hello everyone !

I am new to forums, but I have really enjoyed reading what everyone has to say. In just a couple hours of reading, I have learned several things that would of taking me many hours of research to learn. I recently bought a 94' CBR F2, looking forward to putting 1,000's of miles of it. Of course after I put some work into it. My front sprocket was rounded off, so I ordered new front and rear sprocket, along with a new chain. I would have to say that the previous owner knew nothing about maintance on a bike.
I was wondering if someone out there knew where I could order a whole set of fairings for this bike? Let me explain. The guy I got this bike from must have really liked camo. With mismatch fairings, he cut up a camo parachute and glued the pieces around the fairings. It might have worked for him, but I'm not real interested in using this bike during hunting season. Any help would be appreciated. I have already spoke with someone that is willing to do a custom paint job for me, so there is hope after all. I was planning on posting before and after pics, to see what people thought of the bike.
I am also on the hunt for a custom headlight, '' single round light.'' If any of you know where I can get parts and pieces for my project, please feel free.
Thank you for reading my thread. I look forward to sharing thoughts and opinion with you all.

Re: New to forums, Hello everyone !

I was actually thinking about going ahead and posting pics. I've got the bottom fairings off right now, waiting for my sprockets and chain to come in through honda. Sales rep said they would be here on tues, so when I get that put back together I will go ahead and post some pics.

Re: New to forums, Hello everyone !

theres hella places to get fairings from online.. EBAY is a huge repo for this type of stuff. just type F4i & you'll get thousands of things. theres a couple sites i'll list here, just so you know i've never ordered anything from either of these guys & i think you should google some reviews of others who purchased **** thru them if thats teh route you wanna go.

d9industries.org
nicecycle.com

but oem off ebay would be your best bet imo, as you already know a painter.. thats the route i'd go. this way you know the **** will fit the first time & leave the hassles to a minimum..

btw i was just in dallas, my dad's buddy bought a road king from the north harley dealer & we rode it back to kansas over labor day weekend.

btw congrats on the new bik0r

Re: New to forums, Hello everyone !

Thank you for the sites you posted for me. I looked in ebay, didn't find what I was looking for, but i did come across a site that offers a smokin joe f2/f3 kit for 595.00. the site is :airtech-streamining.com. If anyone knows about the quality of the products this site sells, plz spill the beans.
Dallas to kansas would be a nice ride. I have family there in kansas, not to far away from where you posted you live. I might try that ride one of these days. I'm pretty happy with the f2 i bought. I'm putting new chain and sprockets on it tomorrow, so i'll finally get to open it up and see what it'll do.

Re: New to forums, Hello everyone !

i just want to make sure you realize there is a difference between oem type fairings & race fairings. race fairings most likely wont support a headlight, turn signals or a license plate.

edit:glad to hear your finding some stuff you like.

Dr Drew,

Do some F4 parts interchange to an F2??? Would you happen to know if the FI system is transferable?

Yes, I don't like having to mess with carbs and find that tuning with FI is so much easier for me. My experience in this area is in the 4 wheeled catagories.

Do you know that the mounting points are in the same location if I got an F4i engine? If not I'll post the question under a seperate thread.
