Thinking of buying a 2009 CBR600RR

Hey guys, its been a while since I have posted. I just sold my 2002 f4i and was looking at a 2009 600rr at a local (harley) dealer. I guess someone did a trade in for a HOG. The bike has around 12,500 miles on it. I got them down to 5500 because the previous owner removed the mirrors and blinkers from the bike for some reason and also I noticed the bike had some over spray of white from a shoddy paint job on it, particularly the wires around the cluster area. My guess is it was the white edition with the squidish pheniox bird. I was hoping some for feed back on what yall thought of the price for it. I test rode it and it seems to run like a honda should. Definately night and day difference between my old bike. Thanks.

Not a bad price, I'd do a vin report on it to make sure it wasn't wrecked... better yet ask the dealership to provide it for you free

I always question what might have happend when people paint... mirrors removed? that's a questionable move too.

As long as they did a good job with the rest of the paint and clear coat I'd say it's a good buy especially if it already has an after market can and hopefully fresh tires and recent oil change

Re: Thinking of buying a 2009 CBR600RR

That's A good idea. I was also thinking of trying to find the paint code if it has one or maybe look at the title to see if it was the white edition to begin with. Paint doesn't really bother me and it doesn't have really any visible signs of being drop/downed. It has a aftermarket exhaust (sbk) looks like from headers back. The rear tire will need replaced because it looks like he did a burnout before trading it in. (Typical squid more than likely). I noticed the wear on the tire and he obviously only knew how to go in a straight line. I'll get a few pictures up so you can see the bike
