Battery shorted bike out won't start
My case is similar to "fried battery". I had a dead battery so I jumped my bike with a car battery (engine not running). I did hook my cables up to alligator clips with 16 gauge wire that were attached to my bike's battery for trickle charge. So instead of my bike cranking over the alligator clip wire melted in one spot AND my battery melted. It was hot as heck and bubbling. The case warped into a wave pattern. I replaced the battery but when I turned the starter there was nothing. Completely dead including no headlight, no instrument panel lights. On inspection the fuses in the fuse box all looked complete and unbroken. Any advice on how and what to test is appreciated. I read that I can expect the regulator to be bad as well as something about a 30 amp fuse at the ignition but I don't know if my bike has that as that was a different model.
