Re: Unmanagable Vibration Shadow Aero VT1100C
I have a 750 ACE, myself, and hate the single-pin crank vibration that Honda DELIBERATELY built into those motors to mimic the "Harley sound," and the lope of the HD single-pin crank. I've been looking for a different bike - because, no, there's no "fix" for it (unless there is just plain something wrong with your bike - and likely not - it's in the design itself).
If I've got this correctly,
1. All the ACEs are 1-pin, and the Aeros were too, up till 2002, when Honda changed the 1100 Aero back to a 2-pin, but,
2. The 750 Aeros are still all 1-pin, and so are the pre-2002 Aero 1100s.
This sucks, as I love everything else about my 750 ACE, esp the weight and styling. The newer 1100 Aeros now have the twin-pin crank - IF I want to get the bigger, heavier, newer, more expensive bike, and the Sabres is 2-pin, but without the "classic" styling I like.
So basically, yeah, we're both screwed on the bikes we have - there's nothing you can do to change that vibration save getting a different bike.
