Dynojet QS jumps out of gear 954

Guys, just wondering if ayone had experience with this. I have a Dynojet Quick shifter fitted and its been working ok. I did a trackday over the weekend and found that it would sometimes shift into a false neutral. Seemed to happen at the same spot on the home finish straight. Does anyone have any ideas? Ive got the oem settings applied.

Any help would be great, thanks

if it's coming out of gear It doesnt sound like it's related to the DQS. Could be you're not getting it all the way into gear or it's just not staying engaged in gear. One reason I like the gp shift pattern, the shifts are definite and firm.
If you decide to experiment with the reverse pattern, all you need is a shifter from a VFR. Pull the OE 929 shifter and linkage off and direct swap with the VFR.

Re: Dynojet QS jumps out of gear 954

I have had this happen a few times while drag racing and its usually my shifting not being firm enough. When it did happen I was usually due for an oil change.

How much slack do you have in your shifter? I leave very little slack in mine.

CBR1100xx blackbird shifter is also a direct swap.

Re: Dynojet QS jumps out of gear 954

Try adding a few more milliseconds to the engine cut time.

If the bike isn't braking properly, you don't start by rebuilding the engine.

Re: Dynojet QS jumps out of gear 954

you get your issue worked out? Could be you dont have the "stroke" of the shifter set bang on with the DQS, so when you go to shift it's limiting the amount of movement you have in the shifter and keeping it from fully engaging.

Yes buddy all sorted, I took some of the slack out which has eliminated the problem entirely. Running really nice now
