929rr Charging fine now?

Hey guy's want to get confirmation on this. I just installed one of those mosfet regulators from Roadstercycles and now I'm getting 14.2V at idle, 14.2V when the fans come on and come up to 5k rpm's, and 13.4V when I hit the high beams at 5k. Is that about normal voltage when the high beams are on? I don't really expect it to charge back up to 14 considering the 929 run's 3 lights.

As long as you don't exceed 15.5V at anytime, your gold. 13.4 is comfortable enough to feed the systems needs and keep the battery topped up too. I would think.
I wouldn't want any less than that tho.

Re: 929rr Charging fine now?

The previous owner changed out the hi beam bulbs for a different kinda bulb. It's a bright blue bulb. It's not a hid. I'm wondering if the draw a lot more voltage over stock. Which would explain the lower voltage with the brights on.

Re: 929rr Charging fine now?

That's what I suspected when I read your numbers, cause you even mentioned the 3 lights.
