Hello everyone,
can someone here help me? I have an 02 Cbr954 and it has been shutting off. at first it would run for about a block and then it shut off. now it doesn't run longer than 10 seconds. It shoots white smoke out of the exhaust and leaks fuel under the exhaust were the midpipe and the headers connect. I tried adjusting the Afr incase it was running too rich, but its still shutting off. i checked all the wiring and battery and it doesnt seem to be an ignition problem. any ideas? could it be an internal problem?

Is this a new bike (to you) have u made any recent mods, when did this start?

no, I've had it for over a year. other than the power commander i dont see what other mod could make the bike turn off like that, althought i had a shop custom make a mid pipe because the old one got smashed when i went down a few months ago. and it just started doing it about a month ago

Did this occur prior to getting the PC? Have u double checked all wiring/connections? It may be worth removing the PC and go from there to either rule it out or name it as the culprit.

no i bought the bike with the pc. but im going to take it out and see if it works without it.

You've had her for about 1year - but has this problem just come about?

Also, How much white smoke are you noticing here? A little bit is fine at the start of any engine, but if you are noticing more than that as you ride then you have a coolant leak and could either be a cracked head or blown gasket.
