Re: 2002 954 spark plug issue

Your bike does not have spark plug wires. It has ignition coils on each spark plug. I doubt there is a problem with the coils. Does your bike have a Power Commander or any other mods?

Check your fuel pressure regulator. If its bad it can foul the number 1 & 4 cylinder by dumping excess fuel into these cylinders.

Its best to get a copy of the honda service manual for your bike from the internet and do your own maintenance work. Changing the spark plugs is not hard. You have a prop rod for the gas tank attached to bottom of the front seat. Prop up the tank, remove air box and heat shield then you have easy access to all the spark plugs.

As BackDoc says, check your FPR.

Thanks! now that you mention it, the fuel smell and consumption seems to be a little off, it smells llike im going through gas like water and im only getting about 20mpg so you could be on to something with the FPR. makes total sense!''\\

thanks!
