Re: top speed '03 954?

I told him to come here and ask... I think the highest CORRECTED speed I ever saw on my 929 was around 145, and it still had more to go of course.

Re: top speed '03 954?

159MPH (without Ahlman's speedo correction unit) and it seemed to have a lot of twist left. This is obviously no answer to your question, but I'm guessing around 170MPH corrected? I got that "gut feeling" that I should shut down and whaddyaknow, next three cars around the curve ahead was comprised of a sheriff sandwiched in the middle. Maybe someone here has done a flat out run with corrected speedo...

edit: Someday I really want to do a top speed run. Anyone know whether or not your usual drag strip has enough run-out to do this?

Re: top speed '03 954?

Top speed runs are boring and useless, but I did it once or twice and saw an indicated 178 (which would be 165 or so in the real world) on my 954, but mine was an '02, so it wouldn't apply to yours.
It also wasn't stock as it had a damper, shock, fork work and brake lines.

Re: top speed '03 954?

Quickest I've gone is 275kmh (172mph) indicated. It still had a hand full of twist left and was still pulling. I just ran out of road and too many cars on Highway.

265km is the fastest I've gone on my bike...uummm...that's approx 165mph.

Bikes and women - both have nice curves.

Re: top speed '03 954?

Indicated 175. More to go blah blah, but figured it would be wiser to actually make turn 1.

Re: top speed '03 954?

I've done 100 kmh (60mph) because that is our speed limit

Re: top speed '03 954?

I have seen an indicated 181. That's all she had. I was right at red line in top gear, but was not hitting the rev limiter. I also had a fairly new back tire, so my speedo would be more accurate than a bike with a worn rear tire. I bet I was close to a true 170.

Re: top speed '03 954?

I have been an indicated 165 MPH. It was still pulling hard , but I had to wait on my dad on his cruiser so I couldn't go too far !
