2008 FireBlades compression adjuster
Does anyone have an idea what happened to my front forks compression adjuster? The bike's new for me and i was adjusting (for the first time) compression settings with the front adjuster. I was rotating the screw 45 degrees harder (clockwise) but first I didn't notice that it was already at the hardest setup... well, I rotated it back to the "normal area" where it moves slightly easier and it went OK. Now when I adjust the screw to the hardest setup it moves 45 degrees over the normal end where those two marks match and to the same point where I rotated it first time.
I know that the adjuster is in principle a needle valve and the needle is conical. Is it possible that the needle made the "oil passage" slightly bigger when I tightened the screw too far in, or the oil passage hole formed the needle in new shape, or what? I think the adjuster still works but I'm little confused is it really OK and what happened there.
