CBR 900rr fairing mods - Best one??

For some time now i have played around with the idea of modding my fairings, so i have spent some time surfing around the net for cool fairing mods, but have only found one mod... one with a R1 rear and rc51 front (had i the money i would have bought a rc51 instead). Unfortunately I have forgotten where i saw it....

What is your favorite fairing mod for the old lady?? LETs SEE SOME COOL MODS!!!

Hi. This is not so much a fairing mod, but I have removed the fairing stay that the mirrors bolt onto and replaced it with one I made that runs on the inside of the screen/main fairing. It now more closely resembles the modern look.

Re: CBR 900rr fairing mods - Best one??

I spoke to the chap who did the 08 fairings, he said it wasnt too bad but you need to use race fairings which are in just a couple of bits. Then he just made little brackets from the standard mounting to extend to the 08 mounts.

Love that new front fairing stay, any pics of how it looks off the bike? May look at making one of these myself

Re: CBR 900rr fairing mods - Best one??

I can tell you that the '08 (onwards) front fairing is an easy fit if you use the '08 stay. It basically just bolts into place with a little bit of grinding on the bottom bolt hole. For some reason the fairing and lights are reasonably cheap, certainly compared to the carby fronts. That 08 fairing looks excellant, and you can pick a race fairing in gel colour for about 150 delivered. (UK). Guess whats on my want list for christmas.... Watch this space.

Thanks, I am away from home at the moment but when I get home in the new year I will put up a pic or two of the fairing stay before I installed it.
