What do you mean by "no luck"?
You can type new values into all of the boxes?
Are you saving the 929 map after you change the values to match the 954 map?

Re: power commander help for a 929

Cheers bladeracer hope between us i can get this done, when i plug the unit in i get a display box were all my values should be but they are blank no figure in them at all even if i change the port .then when i try to copy all the values off a map from power commander into it there is not enough space it only has enoughblocks for up to 7500 rpm ,thought it would of got bigger as it got full to allow you to copy the whole lot but cant do it.just wandering if the lead to pc or 9v battery supply is to blame.the unit lights up and i can adjust the settings lean to rich whilst plugged in and thats about it.the page it displays is blank and i cant replicate the one i need.it wont let me send a 954 map of any kind even though its for a 954 .bit of a head fry soz mate

Take a screenshot of the 929 map you want to use.
Open the 954 map that you want to alter.
Type all the 929's values into the 954 map.
Save the map.
Send the map to the PC.

This is a new PC rather than a secondhand one?
Can you return it for the correct one for the 929?

In that case it may not work.
PC's are not the hardiest creatures and are known to fail.

Re: power commander help for a 929

I spoke to dynojet and he thinks its down to the serial to usb cable ,he reckons if i can find an old computr with a serial port then he almost guarentees that it will work .the serial to usb cable is mega unreliable .i go hunt for a relic pc

Are you using the serial or USB version of the software?

Re: power commander help for a 929

The clue's at the bottom of the screenshot. Wrong software version.

If the bike isn't braking properly, you don't start by rebuilding the engine.

Re: power commander help for a 929

As my experience b4, PCIIIr can not use USB connect to your PC , you should use this kinda pc wire to connect your old model desk computer.

AND I will recomment that you should going to get PCIII usb model for your loptop, much easier and better...
