friction spring direction?

2000 929, replacing the clutch and while removing the old clutch the friction spring fell out and hit the floor running, therefore i am not 100% sure which way the bevel faces? In twards the engine of out twords the clutch cover? I was thinking out twords the cover myself.

It fits on top of the judder spring seat with the higher edge around the outside.

Thanks a lot! Thats what i was talkin about. Another diagram i found on here called a friction spring. Looks to be the same to me.
