RRX speedo sensor

http://tws.dk-server.co.uk/item97483-2.jpg

the speedo sensor fits onto the top of the crankcase on the 1999 RRX. if the link above is working you'll see the view into the end of it, looks like a hex shape triple square.

Just wondering how it works?

I presume it fits onto something hex shaped that spins? my speedos not working and ive been doing the haynes manual testing procedure, but it just doesnt explain how it works...

Re: RRX speedo sensor

That's not an Rrx speed sensor.

The rrt/RRV sender (which you've pictured) drives off the front sprocket bolt.

The rrw/Rrx sender sits in the top of the crankcase and doesn't look like that at all. It's a magnetic sensor which reacts to a magnet on the gear output shaft I think. Or something like that, maybe it's optical idk.

Yep, as Morti said, that's the earlier speed sensor.
