Tapered bearings vs roller ball bearings

Hi peeps

Ive just replaced my steering head bearings from the original roller ball bearings to tapered bearings seen here
Fireblade CBR 900 929 954 93-04 Steering Head Bearings. | eBay
My question is what the steering head adjuster nut is tourqed to. It should be 23nm with the original roller ball bearings, so im wondering should it be less with these tapered ones???

I've never tightened steering head bearings to a specific torque. Just adjust them until the steering only _just_ begins to get tight.

Re: Tapered bearings vs roller ball bearings

Makes sense. I guess I'll do some practice runs, and adjust as necessary.
Thanks Blade.
