How long have you been working on this? When do you expect to have it completed to take it for a test run?
Have you gone over budget?

How mnay hours do you work on it a week?

I could ride it now! It's not safe thou, old tire's ect!

should have it ready 100% ready by next week or end of this week!

I spent a few days for sure, more time doing recon on ebay for parts and on other peoples wright up and what not!!! not really sure... more lately! a lot of waiting!!! 3 full days if you added it up, I would guess? working on the bike, could be more???
Not sure how much I spent??? I got the bike a 2001 cbr 929 with 6,000 mi 800$ usd! all price's are plus sipping. I put 600$ fairings oem custom painted fairings and tank look better then in the pic's! 250$ 954 front end with leavers and clip on bars and brakes.
stuff on the way, 50$ 954 swingarm ! stuff not on yet, frame sliders and swingarm spools 46$, diablo corsa 3 tires 200$,windshield 20$, turn signal mirrors40$.
o, plus oil 40$, brake cleaner 25$ used like 4 can's!!! cleaning the spray paint off the frame, sub frame, motor, ect!
rear set 60$, clutch cover 40$ oil filter 20$, spark plugs 35$! a few more buck for oem faring mounts???

ever really added it all up! I was guessing 2 g's, looks like it's a few bucks more! I'm using the 929 front end on my 94 900rr plus the front finder so that saved me money, I had got them for the 94! O all be selling the 929 swingarm, plus all the old fairings, tank and 94 900rr full front end, 929 rear set! so all make a little back! when it's on on it's gonna be sweet!!!!

under what I had hoped to spend, to be truth full! after my 94 900rr revamp just kept getting bigger and bigger!!! not even sure how much I spent??? way more! I got this bike and fixed it up for less! I needed some thing so ride, in the mean time! when I'm fixing up my 900rr, this 929 will be it!
still want the 954 fuel injectors and throttle body's at some point, sooner then later! plus a pc3 and a gp exhaust if I can! but for now that's it!

Sounds like a project. Must be nice to design your own bike. I need reliability, so I have just left the bikes that I've got stock, and maintained them..but maybe one day I'll build one..sounds cool.

when I'm done it should be more reliable! I use mine bike for everthing I have no cars!!!! I have three bikes thou I'm keeping one running, then fixing up the others! then fixing that one up!!! got the 929 so I could fix up my 94 900rr that gonna get fixed up a lot more then the 929/954!!!

but yea it's nice a lot of fun!!!! hard thou, plus it cost money!!! the 929 I got for 800$ guessing all be under 2,500 after I sell all the stuff off that I have left over too maybe under 2,000 for a sick bike!!! cheaper then buying one all ready done
dang cbrer, I just look at your info... you have a 04-05 cbr 1000rr! love that bike, you should get some stuff for that ;-) here's one! thou I like the under tail, of the 04-07 1000rr

Re: 929 revamp!!!

I thought I would check out your thread, great progress!!! Do you have the rest of the fairing kit to install or are you leaving it a bit street fighterish? I used motorcycle fairing kit_fairing stay bracket_headlight for my fairings, they make injection molded fairings and did my custom paint job. Was around $500 shipped and the shipping was crazy fast. It shipped from China and arrived to my office in Pennsylvania in 3 days! Freaking fast for a huge box.

Please keep posting progress pics, I hope to have my new exhaust this week and I'll post that too. I'll be selling my Scorpion Titanium exhaust if you are interested.
