Crank

Hello I have a quick question , does anyone here know if a 929 crank and a 954 crank are interchangeable . I know the flywheels are different .

I believe they will interchange but I've never tried it myself to be certain.
954 crank is lighter though so I wouldn't use a 929 crank in a 954 engine.

Re: Crank

Ok I'm only asking cuz I spun a bearing in my 954 and there is 1/8 inch mark on 1 main crank journal I can feel , I have a good 929 crank in a box that I wanted to use if it would just drop in .

If you have a 929 crank then you're in the best position to determine if it fits.

Re: Crank

Doesn't the 954 have lighter pistons? Counterweights might be off.

If the bike isn't braking properly, you don't start by rebuilding the engine.

Pistons and rods are lighter.
