Why are you even down that low on the tach if you want to accelerate?

It sounds like your lugging it, it's loading up and then clearing its throat . You've never ridden a carbed bike before, right? I think you may just be used to the better fuel metering you get from EFI. Is this bike new to you, or have you had it awhile and it just started doing this? Like BR asked, what are you doing trying to accelerate below 3000?

If we're accelerating hard we do.
Are you saying that you can't pull away at all under 4000RPM?

The floats in the carbs can be set at different heights by adjusting the ring on the needle . And just about pull away if I ride the clutch but its the same in every gear so say a tight bend or corner is an absolute nightmare .

Meant nothing by my question, just trying to help. In your OP you said it was the oldest bike you had owned, 97 and that the last 2 were '03 and '04. I got from that that everything you owned was FI.

Yes mate I undestand what u mean but its hard trying to explain on sites lol its def not right u know when the older bikes need to go on reserve tank ? Splutter jerk dont wanna move its real bad like that in every gear ONLY under load but when it reaches 3.5k it flys

Re: really need your help guys

I'm sure there are a host of things you could do to try and dial that out, or at least make it slightly less bad as you describe. Changing slow jets, needle height, etc. You could do a dyno run and see what it looks like on paper. But to be honest, the above posts are pretty right on with questioning why you are trying to throttle out below 4k rpm. I'm pretty sure when I'm in first or second gear going through a hairpin I'm well above 4k just because I know it's a slug below that. If its as bad as you describe, it may take having the carbs in and out multiple times before you notice any positive gain. Sometimes that's the drawback of a full aftermarket exhaust/jet kit/air filter modification. Not saying you don't have a problem, but past experience dictates this is somewhat normal. Do you know if the gearing has been changed? If the sprockets have been changed you might need to choose a different gear than your used to at the slower speeds. Keep feeding us into.

But why would you be taking tight bends at such low RPM?
