Need a PC3 map for 929RR

So going through the maps for the 929 and nothing looks even remotely close.

Bike specs:

Two Bro aftermarket header with a MotoGP style can directly connected to the header
Intake flapper removed
Bike has no plastics, so I have no intake ducts

If you have anything remotely close let me know, I can fine tune it

Have you actually tried some different maps already?

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

I have not since I'm still putting the bike together.

All the maps I see are for complete non motogp style exhausts and no mention of flapper removed.

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

The flapper won't make that much of a difference as far as mapping goes. You can always download a map from the site and, as you mention, tune it from there. It's a better baseline than starting from a zero map.

If the bike isn't braking properly, you don't start by rebuilding the engine.

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

I JUST installed my PCIII and downloaded a suggested map from dynojet. it did not state anything about the flapper being removed but i can tell you the bike runs great and has NO flat spots. would it be better with a custom tune... yea probably... would i notice the difference... idk. im happy with how its running right now however.

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

Ok. The main thing I'm worried about is my exhaust set up since its header then directly to can with no midpipe. The can I have is RSC Stunt Can.

I know that before I started rebuilding my bike, that with the full two bro system and no flapper, and no intake ducts it was running REALLY rich. Rich enough that was throwing black smoke when cold, and after riding my clothes smelled of exhaust. I was also getting 90 miles per tank lol...

So i'll just research the exhausts listed and find the shortest system available and go from there.

Its a stunt bike, so I'm not wanting to spend 300 bucks for a custom tune...

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

i think anything will "work" considering its a stunt bike im not sure why you would even need a pcIII. maybe it was on the bike when you bought it.. idk. but a stunt bike running rich is going to be the least of that bikes worries! lol

I ride it every day. Its my daily commuter. Its getting all the stunt parts added and going -1/+7 gearing.

Re: Need a PC3 map for 929RR

plus the thing ran SHITTY below 3500 rpms which could also be affected by a failing cam chain tensioner thats getting replaced with an APE manual after I get my tank back from paint(not really getting painted, but more of a rhino-lined)

If you are only getting 90 miles per tank you most likely have a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator. Does your oil smell like gas? A bad FPR will make your bike run worse in low rpm's due to the excess fuel be dumped into #1 & #4 cylinders.

FPR doesn't leak. I've checked it already.
